Camp Grow Volunteers

We need volunteers to assist with Camp Grow to help with before-care and after-care, and offer an extra set of hands to our Instructors through the morning and afternoon. Preferably, we are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one 4 1/2 hour shift per day of camp during one of the following camps:

PLANT POWER  |  March 25 – 29
PLANT TO PLATE  |  June 3 – 7
CULTIVATE & CREATE  |  June 10 – 14
KITCHEN CHAMPS   |  June 24 – 28
PLANT IT FORWARD  |  July 8 – 12
KITCHEN CHAMPS  |  July 15 – 19
CULTIVATE & CREATE  |  July 22 – 26

Volunteers will be provided with information about daily activities beforehand. Camp Grow takes place in downtown Birmingham at JVTF’s Center for Food Education (701 25th Street North), five blocks from the Birmingham Museum of Art and close to Uptown and Protective Stadium.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bring a completed background check (instructions within application link below)
• Work one or more 4 1/2-hour shift during one of the listed days
