Birmingham's Urban Farmer Grant

Program Overview

The City of Birmingham, in collaboration with Jones Valley Teaching Farm, is launching the Urban Farmer Grant Program to strengthen food access, build community resilience, and support local urban growers within the City of Birmingham.

Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, this funding is designated to facilitate business/organizational relief. The funds will be used to address operational shortfalls that urban farming entities have because of the pandemic and, before that, longstanding inequities in economic opportunity and investment. The program will award 10 grants of $10,000 each.
